Culture Change

Create a Culture of Resonance

Culture is one of the most important drivers for long-term, sustainable success. It shapes employees’ behaviors and the dynamics of an organization. Without an engaged and supportive culture, it is difficult to implement and sustain strategic initiatives.

The Teleos Approach to Culture Change

The Teleos Organizational Development Process is designed to turn your organization’s culture into an asset from the inside – leveraging culture to support sustainable and positive change.

Our approach to change is founded in the Intentional Change Model developed by Richard Boyatzis. Intentional change starts with developing a strong and positive energized image of an “ideal,” that is, what we want the culture to be in the future and then, secondly, focusing on an accurate image of the “real” as it is now.

When you begin to implement the plan, the development of new behaviors is supported by activities such as action learning, learning groups, and collaborative work on strategic projects. What makes the Intentional Change Model particularly different and powerful is the strength of positive emotions and the passion that emerges when an organization connects with its ideal future state. The evoked positive feelings help to power and sustain the drive for change, for achieving the goals, and to keep the image of the future state in the foreground. This helps the organization steer through and stay the course of true culture change.

Our Process

Create a Compelling Vision
We partner with your organization’s leadership to help describe the ideal, future state of the organization. It must be compelling, optimistic, and inspirational.

Establish Alignment
We suggest an experiential workshop with the top team to ensure clarity and collective and individual commitment to the future state.

Gather Data
We utilize the Dynamic Inquiry Process, which is a data gathering methodology designed to add deep insight into the organizational culture and guide organizational leaders to focus on specific actions that will stimulate mental reframing and transformations. The thematic analysis will add insight into the need for change and uncover the beliefs and emotional realities that enable growth and those that inhibit progress. This process includes interviews with key groups and individuals in the organization.

Provide Feedback
The data is organized and shared back to leadership to make meaning and to determine if the vision is feasible and if there is still commitment to the changes required. It is in this step that leadership becomes aware of how they will need to lead and inspire through the emotional experience of change.

Co-Design
Collaborative design sessions  are designed to co-create a roadmap for change, including not only the tasks and work to be accomplished, but also the experiences individuals and groups will need to have to ensure learning and adherence.

Align & Engage
This step is where the broader organization gains alignment through the experiences designed to help them understand and feel the changes that are coming and to appreciate what is going to be expected of them. This can take the form of large group meetings, workshops, trainings, and one-on-one meetings.
