Dr. Orlando serves as the Chief Medical Education Officer and his health network’s Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Designated Institutional Official (DIO) at St Luke’s University Health Network in Bethlehem, PA.
Dr. Orlando earned his Doctor of Education (Ed. D) in Corporate Learning Leadership from University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education and The Wharton School, Chief Learning Officer program. He earned his Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Adult and Organizational Development from Temple University, School of Education, and Bachelor of Art (BA) degrees from Moravian College in International Management and American Political Thought. He studied abroad for a semester in Dijon, FRANCE.
Dr. Orlando is appointed as an adjunct associate professor at University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, where he serves as faculty, academic director, and dissertation chair in the Division of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership. Dr. Orlando also serves as adjunct professor in Moravian College’s M.B.A. program, where he has been teaching leadership courses since 2009. He is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coaching Federation.
Dr. Orlando serves as a member of the Institutional Review Committee at the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), as a member of the Healthcare Leadership and Management Fellowship Milestones work group at ACGME, and as Treasurer and Board of Director at the Alliance of Independent Academic Medical Centers (AiAMC). He also co-chairs AiAMC’s National Initiative on Social Determinants of Health. Previously, Dr. Orlando served as Treasurer and Commissioner on the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for Physician Assistant Schools (ARC-PA).
He served in the United States Army Reserves for 10 years and volunteered as a youth sports coach for 10 years. He lives in Allentown, PA where he enjoys seeing his three children grow in their personal lives and aspire towards healthcare careers.
