Erica T. Mahady (she/they) is a resolute postmodern leader who strategically partners with others to design and facilitate change that produces positive results. She has 17+ years of experience as an organizational & leadership effectiveness consultant, educator, researcher, keynote public speaker, mindfulness practitioner and credentialed executive coach. Erica works intentionally to bridge the fields of leadership effectiveness, education, organizational science, and well-being.
Erica’s mission is to help leaders and aspiring leaders engage in a thought-provoking, heart-centered, creative process that inspires and challenges clients to maximize personal and professional potential. With a consulting and coaching philosophy grounded in key fundamentals of business and resonant leadership, Erica specializes in fostering cultural transformation through intersectional diversity, equity and inclusion, emotional intelligence, and intentional change. She supports leaders and their teams by facilitating leadership development, creating pathways to leadership/organizational effectiveness, and designing dynamic learning experiences.
For 10 years, Erica provided consulting and coaching services as an internal member of an organizational effectiveness team at a large academic healthcare system in southeastern PA. She was instrumental in the design and management of the Institute for Healthcare Leadership. Additionally, Erica engaged in the development of SELECT, one of the first accredited medical education programs focused on leadership competencies. Holding a faculty appointment at the University of South Florida, she also served as the leadership course director, designed curriculum, and provided coaching to medical students and physician faculty.
Additionally, Erica enjoys partnering with clients to write publications on leadership effectiveness. Her team was awarded the American College of Healthcare Executives award for an outstanding contribution to the healthcare management literature on cultural awareness network implementation. She has also co-presented with senior executives at national conferences on strategies for developing leadership capacity. As an associate with Teleos Leaders in Philadelphia PA, Erica appreciates serving as a faculty member and mentor for ICF accredited coaching development programs. She held a multi-year faculty appointment teaching graduate courses on leadership and communication at Marywood University in Scranton, PA. Erica also enjoys inspiring others and has been invited as a keynote speaker on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Lastly, Erica is a PhD Candidate completing her degree in leadership studies from Alvernia University in Reading, PA. She earned a graduate degree in interdisciplinary communication from Marywood University in Scranton, PA. Erica resides in the greater Philadelphia area with her playful rescue cat Sir Winston. She appreciates spending quality time with loved ones and advocating toward achieving social justice for marginalized communities.
