Organizational Development and Coaching Philosophy
Leadership requires presence, authenticity, courage and the ability to manage one’s self and others in the face of ambiguity – as well as what may seem like chaos. Changed ways of being lead to changed ways of doing, i.e., getting results for individuals and groups.
Organizational development depends upon systemic recognition of stages of development: Orientation, Differentiation and Cohesion. These stages are iterative and best occur in an atmosphere of trust in which understandable models, usable tools and practice transform awareness into action.
Thoughtful attention to diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism is essential.
Coaching and organizational development.
Desired changes must be pinpointed, practiced and performed, ultimately in the workplace. Bill’s interventions do this with rigor, reframing and reflection in both individual and team settings.
Rigor: precise and targeted feedback that speaks to enhanced leadership, followership and management skills – and that also have a positive impact outside of work. New behaviors require practice in a safe environment.
Reframing: clients view people, situations and processes in new ways that dovetail with corporate and personal goals.
Reflection: rational models and simple practices show action-oriented, quick thinking, fast paced individuals and groups the professional and personal benefits of reflection as a way of reinforcing new learning and actions.
