Chantelle has over 13 years experience as a trainer and facilitator of leadership and organisational development, and in the design, planning, facilitation, and implementation of development interventions. She has worked with multicultural groups from developing countries in Africa, South East Asia and the Middle East. Her expertise is in supporting leadership in the public and non-government sectors in contexts of societal change and transformation. She works as a coach of individuals and teams, and facilitator of small and large group processes.
In addition to her work with Teleos, Chantelle is co-founder and project manager of Baobab Consulting and Training, a development management networking and consulting facility, which also offers interactive distance learning, based in Cape Town, South Africa. She teaches on the faculties of international and South African programs to develop coaches, consultants, and leaders.
Prior to her work in organisational development, Chantelle was project manager at Development Contact Network, a South African development resource and capacity-building training agency. She coordinated the Community Development Unit of Khuphuka Skills Training and Employment Project in Durban. And was previously research librarian and advisor at the Don Africana Library (City of Durban) and the E.G. Malherbe Library (University of Kwa-Zulu Natal).
Throughout her career, Chantelle has served on numerous professional committees and community-based initiatives in South Africa, such as: KwaZulu-Natal Forum for Education for Democracy; Ubambiswano( a Joint Program of Action on Youth Unemployment); KwaZulu-Natal Association of Education and Training NGOs; and the Library and Information Workers Organisation.
Chantelle received her Bachelor of Arts (History and Economic History) and a Masters in Information Studies at the University of KwaZulu Natal. Having a strong belief in personal development, she continues developing and broadening her own skills, having attended various courses including the International Program in Organisation and Systems Development (Gestalt Institute of Cleveland) which focuses on developing the personal skills required to intervene appropriately with individuals, teams, organisations and systems.
Chantelle lives in Cape Town, South Africa with her husband and 2 daughters. She is a first language English speaker, has a working knowledge of Afrikaans and German, and reads French. She has a strong interest in alternative health and holistic personal development through nurturing of body, mind and spirit.
